Death-defying footage shows the moment a daredevil stuntman nearly backflipped off the top of a 40-story tower.
Russian adrenaline junkie Sergey "Jumping Buddha" came close to killing himself after his attempt to perform a backflip was just inches from going spectacularly wrong.
Video filmed in Israel shows him standing on a small 20-inch-wide ledge some 492 feet above the ground. After steadying himself to perform the trick, he leaps into the air - but his legs drift dangerously off target.
As he lands, he almost slips off the edge - but somehow manages to cling on and haul himself back up to safety.
